Sandhills Blacksmith Guild

The Sandhills Blacksmith Guild is a local affiliate of the North Carolina Artist Blacksmith Association of North America. SBG Meetings are held at The Carthage Forge in Moore County, NC on a bi-monthly schedule; Members and Non-members of NCABANA are welcome to join these family friendly gatherings. Meetings typically include the following activities:

• Traditional Blacksmithing Techniques, including

  • Controlled Hand Forging

  • Coal Forge Practice / Overview

  • Power Hammer Techniques

  • Colonial / Ornamental Ironwork

  • Ad hoc, 1:1 mentoring
